ROSELLE, NJ - Acting Union County Prosecutor Jennifer Davenport announced Saturday the identity of Friday night's shooting victim in Roselle to be 27-year-old Justin Claiborne of Roselle.

According to authorities, Roselle Police units responding to a report of a shooting at the Oak Park Apartments on Garden Drive shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday to find Claiborne there and to have been shot, according to the preliminary investigation. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

This matter remains under active joint investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force, Roselle Police, Linden Police, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit.
