UNION, NJ – Union firefighters responded to a structure fire Wednesday morning at 1235 W. Chestnut, at the intersection of West Chestnut and Route 22 West.
According to firefighters, a BobCat was on fire inside the structure which extended to the ceiling. The building is currently being demolished. Firefighters used a foam line for extinguishment and cooled the ceiling.
No one working at the location was injured. After the fire was extinguished, the building was ventilated and the BobCat was removed. The building was turned back over to the demolition crew.
