EAST ORANGE, NJ  – Mayor Lester E. Taylor III and the East Orange City Council are proud to welcome the popular family-owned restaurant chain, Burnet Barbecue, to East Orange. 

The Portuguese Churrasqueira & Restaurant, owned by Carlos Texeira, is located at 51 Hoffman Boulevard, East Orange, NJ.

Valerie Jackson, Director of Policy, Planning and Development notes how excited the city is to mark the new year with the grand opening of a restaurant that boasts the best Portuguese-American barbecue cuisine in Northern New Jersey. “If there is one thing that connects people, it’s our love of food,” said Jackson. “Quality family-style restaurants like Burnet BBQ will help East Orange become the destination city we are striving to be.”
