UNION, NJ – Dedicated to beautifying and maintaining the cleanliness of Union, “Clean Sweep” is scheduled for July 9 at 8 a.m., in the Vauxhall section of town.
“What I love about this yearly event is the spirit of togetherness that we experience when we gather and work with our neighbors to maintain the vibrance of our parks,” said Mayor Manuel Figueiredo. “Not only is there a real tangible and physical benefit to this event, but a real sense of pride in knowing that you are doing your part to ensure that our town continues to shine.”
The first “Clean Sweep” of the season took place on May 21.
After signing with the Department of Public Works at Municipal Lot #23, between Russell Streeet and Montclair Avenue, participants will be dispatched to different areas along Springfield Avenue, pre-identified by the Department, to clean the Township of littler and debris.
