UNION NJ - On Tuesday night, Township of Union Mayor Manuel Figueiredo and Committeeman Joseph Florio hosted a special taping of the “Our Town” television show, which airs on UnionTV34.  

The show’s special guest was retiring committeeman and former mayor Anthony Terrezza.  Figueiredo and Florio reviewed Terrezza’s 20 years of public life and his five terms as Union mayor.  Some of Terrezza’s inititatives and accomplishments included stabilizing the Union tax base, improving economic development, building of the Senior Center and the Vauxhall branch of the public library and moving a methadone clinic from a residential area. Terrezza was involved in the ‘Go Green’ initiative, the ‘Back to Basics’ initiative and improving labor relations with township unions.

The program concluded with Mayor Figueiredo thanking Terrezza for his 20 years of service and dedication to working to improve the township. Terrezza thanked Union residents for their trust and confidence. The “Our Town” episode will air throughout December.
