Community Meeting Set for Kennedy Reservation Discussion


UNION, NJ – A community meeting is scheduled to be held on Thursday evening, March 9, to discuss the Kennedy Reservation Park Project.

The project includes three sections:  A County section with playground equipment, a dog park, and a park with walking/biking paths, according to a recent Tapinto Union article:  Green Acres Park Development Project Discussed at Township Committee Meeting

The meeting will be held at The AVE, 1070 Morris Avenue, beginning at 7:30.

Man Dies from South Orange House Fire on Sunday

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - A man has died from a house fire on Warwick Avenue in South Orange on Sunday afternoon, stated Thomas Fennelly, Essex County Chief Assistant Prosecutor.

The fire, which began about 2 p.m. was contained by about 5 p.m., and required mutual aid from fire departments in neighboring towns, according to firefighters at the scene.
