UNION, NJ – A celebration of the 350th anniversary of the founding of Connecticut Farms – now the Township of Union – is scheduled for late October.

Hosted by the Union Township Historical Society (UTHS), the celebration of Connecticut Farms (founded in 1667) will take place on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Suburban Golf Club, 1730 Morris Avenue, from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m.

The evening will include musical entertainment by members of the Union High School Performing Arts Company and an appearance by ‘Rev. James Caldwell’, portrayed by Doc Burkhardt.

The gala will include the induction into the Union Township Historical Society Hall of Honor of Louis Giacona (posthumously), founder of the Union Township Historical Society; Michael Yesenko, former president of the UTHS and of the Union County Historical Society; and Anthony Russo, former Mayor of Union.
