UNION, NJ - France DelleDonne, Senior Vice President/Community Relations at ConnectOne Bank announced on March 26 that the Township of Union Education Foundation is being awarded a $2,500 ConnectOne Bank grant for the 2016-2017 school year.   In announcing this award,  Ms. DelleDonne stated that “ConnectOne is a relationship-driven bank and can be counted on in connecting with and supporting our community partners.”

The Township of Union Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to raise funds to support grants to teachers for creative and innovative educational programs for the children in the public schools in the Township of Union.  Since its inception in 2001, the Education Foundation has awarded over 100 grants totaling over $150,000.

 “We are so proud to have received this grant.  The support of ConnectOne Bank over the years has been invaluable. Their commitment to the children in our township is inspirational.   So many students in Union have benefited from their generosity.  They are a true pleasure to work with and we look forward to working positively with them for many years to come.  They are a model for other businesses in the community,” commented Susan Lipstein, President, Township of Union Education Foundation. “The Education Foundation looks forward to honoring ConnectOne Bank, as well as our other donors,  at our spring reception which will be held on May 18 from 5-8 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus,  1034 Jeannette Avenue in Union.” 

Ticket donations for the  reception,  which includes a full buffet dinner and dessert as well as entertainment,  is $30.00 and the public is invited to attend.  The grant recipients from 2015-2016  and the new grant recipients from 2016-2017,  who will be announced in April, will be honored.
