ROSELLE, NJ – Fire broke out at approximately 2:13 this afternoon in a multi-dwelling house at 127 West Second Avenue where 15 occupants were evacuated by Roselle Police.

Battalion Chef Jeff Breden reported one injury to a volunteer firefighter. He was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

The fire began in two rooms on the first floor and was quickly extinguished. Roselle fire Department’s engines 3 and 4 responded along with a Union engine, Linden engine and a truck. 

The owner of the house was not present.
