Barnard has been elected as its president, and began his term of office at the Council’s annual meeting held earlier this month. He succeeds Michael Poling, who had served as Council president since 2011.
Mr. Barnard is the president of MCM Mechanical Corp., based in Fairfield, New Jersey. His involvement in Scouting began in Pack and Troop 1 in Ridgefield Park, NJ, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1967. In accepting the position, Mr. Barnard said, “I’m humbled to serve as president of Patriots' Path Council, following a long line of distinguished volunteer leaders. Through the efforts of our dedicated volunteers, advisors and staff members, we will continue to grow membership, expand diversity and build financial strength in order to deliver the best programs available to the youth we serve.”
