The Student Council asked every student in the school to write a letter. Students could either write a traditional letter to Santa, or they could write a letter of encouragement to a child that will benefit from Make-A-Wish. For every letter written, Macy’s will donate $1.00 to Make-A-Wish. Washington School submitted a total of 479 letters. The St. Jude Classic Week
This is a huge week for the staff and students at UHS! Coordinators Kevin Feeley, Cheryl Fiske and Dana Bobertz out do themselves every year! This year we went from 1 event to a FULL week of events.
Cheryl Fiske stated that she is extremely grateful to the entire community as well as the Union High School community for all of their efforts to make this such a successful week. We have expanded from one event for St. Jude to a full week of activities. Our students were more involved than ever.
The effort of our students throughout the St. Jude Classic week really touched the entire school, and they are already planning events for next year.
We have already reached last years goal with more donations still coming in.
The Softball and Baseball team helped run a Pasta Night which was a huge success with the support of Johnny Napkins. We fed over 200 people.
The St. Jude Classic Basketball games were also a huge success with Union pulling away with their first win of the season in a double overtime game against Plainfield. There are so many people to thank so please check out our pictures with the details!
I hope everyone has a safe, healthy and happy holiday break with family and friends.
