Kawameeh 7th grade team, along with our 7th grade students have decided to create a positive impact on our community by launching the following kindness campaign: Kindness can change the world, and every student can make an impact. Did you know that there are over 430,000 children in foster care and many are only provided trash bags to carry their belongings from placement to placement? Help us replace trash bags with "Sweet Cases," which include brand-new duffel bags filled with comfort items for children in foster care! We would love to raise at least $1250 to be able to provide 50 "sweet cases" to our local Children's Division in Union County. Please consider emotionally supporting a child by donating any amount of money to help the 7th Graders at Kawameeh Middle School to sponsor these bags.

In class, these students are exploring the essential question, "What causes a sudden change in someone's life?" By helping others, we hope that they can see even a small act of kindness can have a huge impact for these children in need. In addition to fundraising, groups of 7th graders will ensemble the "sweet cases" and learn the true meaning of community. These children deserve to know their emotional needs are just as important as their physical needs. We can show them they are special and cared for by putting these bags in their hands. Let's show them they deserve more than a trash bag to carry their most precious belongings. You can help by: Donating candy to our upcoming sale Donating money to https://www.togetherwerise.org/fundraise/kmsonetribe Supporting our sale by buying candy on Tuesday 1/7, or Wednesday 1/8. Every $25 raised purchases a sweet case for a child in need. Thank you for your support, Jason Malanda, Principal
