UNION, NJ - Washington Elementary School hosted it's annual Heritage Night, sponosred by the PTA, Friday night.   

Dawn Stedronsky, the PTA coordinator for the event, said, "we live in such a diverse community we wanted to come together to share different cultures with all the kids."

The students were treated to performances by individuals representing the Ukraine, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Russia, with a little Puerto Rican salsa dancing.  

Afterwards, the students walked around to different classrooms to learn about various cultures and countries. The students received passports and upon visits to the classrooms (countries), they received a stamp in their passport.
