UNION, NJ – Jazz Thursday at the Union Farmers Market this week will feature Jay Rodriguez Quintet, a Grammy nominated saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, film composer, producer, and arranger.
The Jay Rodriquez Quintet has performed with the likes of Celia Cruz, Vincent Pacheco, Jose “El Canario” Alberto, Candido, Eddie Palmieri, Mongo Santamaria, Irakere and more in the Latin scene. He has graced jazz stages with Roy Hargrove, Victor Jones, Kenny Baron, Miles Davis, the Roots (Tonight Show Band), Alex Foster, and the Gil Evans Band, as well as with many pop artists such as Melissa Manchester, Prince, Patti LaBelle, and Natalie Cole.
The Special Improvement District (SID) Merchant Spotlight at the Farmers Market this week includes the Atlantic Beach Soap Company. Shaun Vanclieft will be featuring his lavender, honey oatmeal, and sage soaps at a special price and will provide coupons for future purchases for his store, set to open this fall in Union Center.
Wrapped Moments will also be at the Farmers Market this week, featuring their ever-popular silicon lids, kitchen accessories, mason jars, and more.
