Since May 2012, Shake A Paw, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Union has provided a temporary home to thousands of dogs in need of a permanent home. The money raised from the fundraiser will enable the animal shelter to house more dogs and in turn help provide more homes for pets. Currently there are more than 175 dogs hoping for a new owner, who will take care of them.

“Local animal shelters are important because we are the voice for these animals and are really their last hope for survival, because if we don’t take care of them, no one else will,” added Bush. “They all deserve a forever home and our goal is to provide each and every one of these incredible animals just that.”
