UNION, NJ - Local writer/producer Jonathan Weisbrod hosted a screening of his film “Bear With Us” at an event at the Union Public Library last week.  Union native Jonathan Weisbrod’s film is a comedy of errors that takes a close look at just how far we’ll go to preserve our relationships.

“Having grown up in Union, it’s important to come and be able to showcase what we’ve accomplished,” said Weisbrod.  “This community has always been welcoming and encouraging.  It’s a good place to shoot a movie – it’s close to the city and the township is easy to deal with for permits.”

Before the screening of “Bear With Us”, Weisbrod’s short film, “Beyond Belief” was shown.  Shot in 2011, “Beyond Belief” was filmed outside Town Hall, with scenes inside and outside of Joe’s Place.  The screening was followed by a reception and question and answer period with Weisbrod Dava Latin Fusion restaurant.
