UNION, NJ – A debate on the topic of Marijuana Legalization for recreational use, hosted by the Regular Democratic Club of Union, will be held on Monday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m.
The debate will feature Bill Caruso of NJ United for Marijuana Reform in favor and Stephen Reid, Executive Director of NJ Responsible Approaches to Marijuana Policy against.
The speakers will begin with brief introductions, then the debate will field questions from audience members.
The Township Committee recently passed an ordinance to place a referendum on the November ballot asking Union voters if they want to permit the retail sale of marijuana within the Township’s borders, should recreational marijuana become law.
This forum is intended to give residents additional information to make their decision.
The event will be held at the VFW Post 2433, 2012 High Street.
