UNION, NJ – Shakespeare in the Park returns to Union on its new date, August 3, at 7:00 p.m. at Rabkin Park.

The hour-long show will feature a collection of scenes and music of Shakespeare and those he has inspired. 

"Shakespeare has not only inspired countless writers, but his contributions to the English language and literature cannot be overstated," Mayor Cavadas said. "I am extremely happy that we can collaborate with the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey to bring this wonderful show highlighting some of his best works to our community."

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is one of 25 professional theatres in the state but the only one dedicated to Shakespeare and his works. The theatre has earned several accolades, including being named the "Regional Theatre of the Year" in 2002 and 2006 by The Star-Ledger.
