ROSELLE, NJ - 21-year-old Tyquan Johnson of Newark, who was shot early Saturday in Roselle, died later that afternoon and authorities on Jan. 22 charged a Roselle man, still at large, with murder.
Law enforcement officials said they were searching for the suspect: 25-year-old Nathaniel Price. He faces charges of murder and related weapons offenses, said acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park.
Roselle police were called to the 1000 block of Rivington Street. shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday. There, they found Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to University Hospital in Newark.
The shooting is under investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force, Roselle Police Department, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit and Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit.
