UNION, NJ – Newark police chased a vehicle into Union early Thursday morning, ending with the crash of the suspect’s vehicle on Morris Avenue.  Authorities say the vehicle was a stolen 2005 Ford f150 and wanted for numerous robberies in Newark’s jurisdiction.

According to police, at around 3:00 a.m., the pursuit traversed through Newark onto 78 West to Berkeley Heights, down Springfield Avenue through New Providence, Summit, Springfield and ended with a crash on Morris Avenue near the Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Union. 

Union police officers assisted Newark officers with a search of the three male occupants.  A K9 unit from the Union County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the area.

One juvenile was arrested inside the Suburban Golf Course.  According to police, the juvenile provided the possible names of the two outstanding suspects. 

There are no reported injuries as a result of the chase.  Two suspects remain at large.
