FAIRFIELD, NJ -- Allison Kulesza, General Manager of Car Lofts in Fairfield, spoke with TAPintoTV’s Executive Producer, Brian Brodeur about the facility's unique offerings for car enthusiasts and how the business has managed and pivoted during the pandemic.

Car Lofts is a vehicle storage facility with a private social club for car enthusiasts, along with rental venues for events. Currently, you can find a combination of high-end luxury cars as well as classic cars and even vintage automobiles in storage at Car Lofts.

The first priority at Car Lofts is vehicle safety, according to Kulesza. “Car Lofts has a lot of different amenities in our vehicle storage area that sets us apart from the rest,” she added. The facility is climate-controlled, has 24/7 automated security, a concierge service to arrange maintenance on vehicles, and a key keeper box which can only be opened with a fingerprint. In addition, there are 60 cameras that monitor the interior and exterior of the facility.

In addition, members can partake in a club room with multiple TV screens, a game room, a lounge, and billiards, which is open during Car Lofts’ operating hours. They have two social spaces, the loft, on the second floor overlooking the car lot, and the warehouse, one flight down.

Car Lofts had its grand opening party in September of 2019 and opened to the public in November, but then just a few months later, the pandemic took hold in New Jersey. “We were gaining a lot of momentum,” Kulesza said, “then March COVID hit and it kind of came to a halt.” The business pivoted, however, and “shifted our focus away from the social aspects and more to just vehicle storage, and promoting our overall space and brand.”

Since COVID rates and subsequently restrictions in New Jersey have decreased, Car Lofts has been able to recently hold some outdoor events, with safety precautions and social distancing in place. Ultimately, Kulesza said, “we’re trying to build a family of car enthusiasts here.”
