  • 205 incidents for the past two week period
    • Figueiredo reported two notable fires in the last two week period:
      • The Fire Department responded to Thoreau Terrace on June 17 for a house fire, with mutual aid to cover Union.  Fire on the first and second floors threatened the homes on both sides and vehicles in the driveway were also on fire when firefighters arrived.  The fire eventually went to 2-alarms. 
    • On Thursday, June 21, firefighters responded to a house fire at 1835 Vauxhall Road, Union’s oldest home.  Firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the attic.

Deputy Mayor and Police Commissioner Joseph Florio reported:

  • 1,325 Calls for Service between June 12 – June 26
    • Directed patrol – 1,069
    • Arrests – 96
