UNION, NJ – Members of the Union Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Express Fuel gas station at 2674 Morris Ave. on Wednesday, Jan.13 just after 8:30 p.m.

According to police, the attendant was held up by two men, one of whom had a handgun. The gas station worker was in the office area when two men wearing masks came inside and rushed the worker. 

One suspect accosted the worker and held him by his jacket while the other looked for money in the office. When no money was found, they took about $300 from the suspect and also stole his cell phone. They left the gas station and walked toward Liberty Avenue.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, wearing white sneakers, blue jeans, blue bubble jacket, orange hooded sweatshirt, with a blue/orange baseball type hat.  The other suspect is a white or Hispanic male, with a goatee, wearing white sneakers, gray jeans, black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball type hat.

The robbery is being investigated by Det. Anthony Lagoa. The gas station has video of the crime. If anyone recognizes the men or has any information, please contact the Union Police Department Detective Bureau at (908) 851-5030.
