SPRINGFIELD, NJ –  Route 22 eastbound in Springfield will be shut down briefly Friday and will be down to one lane for most of Friday afternoon, as late as 8 p.m., according to JCP&L, which was conducting repairs.

"Crews will need to place the new pole, repair the wires and briefly shut down both lanes to run the service wire across the highway,” the utility said. “This work is expected to take approximately eight hours.”
