SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Scotch Plains Fire Department celebrated its 150th anniversary with the help of firefighters and vehicles from across Union County and other areas of New Jersey on Saturday, June 15, 2019, in downtown Scotch Plains. 

The festivities were highlighted by a parade, that began at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, and went past a reviewing stand in front of St. Bartholomew Church, and ended at the Scotch Plains Municipal Building. The parade featured current and vintage trucks from Cranford, Elizabeth, Fanwood, Garwood, Linden, Mountainside, Plainfield, Roselle, Union, and Westfield. Firefighters from Bernardsville, Boonton, Colonia, Franklin Township, Hampton, North Arlington, Piscataway and Schooley's Mountain also made impressive showings.
