UNION, NJ – A warm and sunny Saturday greeted kids and their families for Union’s 2nd Annual Spring Eggstravaganza Scavenger Hunt in Union Center.
Kids and their parents visited the Welcome Station for goodie bags, face painting and balloon art before heading out for the scavenger hunt around the Center. Participants received their scavenger hunt map and stopped in at the 20 participating Union Center merchants for clues (plastic eggs) to finish the puzzle.
“This is a fun family event and a great opportunity for residents to engage with the community,” said Special Improvement District Director Fatimah Raymond, who hosted the event. “Our local businesses have been great, and this is a good way for residents to acquaint themselves with the outstanding stores in the Center.”
“We love that the town hosts these types of events,” said BCB Bank Manager Marie Maquire. “The kids are so excited when they come in. We are happy to participate.”
“It’s great to see so many families come out and participate in our Spring event,” said SID President Joe Leo, who dressed as the Easter Bunny at his “Here’s the Story” bookstore. “I look forward to these type of events with the township.”
Participating businesses included Norma's Flowers; Magic Fountain; Dava Latin Fusion; El Chingon Tex-Mex; Gym for Kids; Woodstack; Kungfu Tea; American Shave; Susie Karlick Dance Studio; Jammed Up Bakery; United Taekwondo Academy; Dance Impressions; Garden City Restaurant; Killer Vegan; BCB Bank; Conca D'Oro Bakery; Cioffi's; Custo Y Sabor; The Pink Room; and Blue Ribbon Bakery.
