UNION, NJ – There was a lot to do for kids of all ages at Union’s Winter Festival on Saturday, including $5 Early Bird Movies at the Union Theatre, horse & buggy rides starting at Wells Fargo Bank, and arts & crafts at Gusta Rosso Trattoria & Bar, Blue Ribbon Bakery and ConnectOne Bank.
There was face painting at Cioffi's of Union & Express Latin Grill, balloon making at Killer Vegan & THE GYM FOR KIDS, and pictures with Santa at Here's The Story...Books & Videos.
“We are so excited to bring this kind of foot traffic to our vibrant Center where families from our community can enjoy various family activities and patronize our great Center businesses,” said Janice deAvila, Executive Director of the Union Center Special Improvement District.
"Despite the chilly cold air, our WinterFest was well attended with many smiling young people enjoying the numerous activities, especially the horse drawn carriage ride,” said Union Mayor Manuel Figueiredo.
Joe Leo, President of Union Center Special Improvement District said, “today's 3rd Annual Winter Festival was wonderful. The streets were filled with families from all over, visiting all the different businesses that participated in the festivities. It was fun, festive and filled with happiness!”
