UNION, NJ - There is a Winter Storm Warning posted for most of New Jersey effective after midnight Wednesday through late Thursday afternoon from the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management.  Snow will begin before sunrise for most locations. Heavy snow is forecast through the morning. Winds may reach 10-25 MPH, gusting over 30 MPH in some areas. Snow totals may range as high as 6”-10”.

Snowfall will vary by location, so check local forecasts for anticipated conditions. Heavy snow, sleet and a wintry mix may result in downed power lines and trees. High winds with blowing snow will reduce travel visibility. Conditions on roadways, bridges, sidewalks and other surfaces may be hazardous throughout the day. Snow will taper off during the afternoon. Exercise caution during travel.
