SPRINGFIELD, NJ – Union Farmers faced a one-hitter against Dayton, when Dayton's freshman Nicole Cataldo and her teammates supported her by knocking in five runs.

Dayton jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on freshman Kaya Mahy’s first home run on the game.  Union tied the game 1-1 in the top of the second inning.

In the fourth inning, Dayton added three runs on consecutive home runs by Mahy and senior Holly Wilson.  Senior Arianna Griffith singled, moved to second on a walk and was able to cross home plate on an error.

The Bulldogs added one more run in the fifth inning on junior Maggie Phillips home run for the final score of 5-1.

The Bulldogs hits were made up of the four home runs and three singles.  For the game, the Bulldogs scored five runs on seven hits and made three errors.  The Farmers scored one run on one hit, and they made one error.
