SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Springfield residents looking for a way to spend their summer nights will have a returning musical option over the next few months. Now in its fifth year, the Springfield business Improvement District (BID) Concert series kicks off on Thursday July 12 with bi-weekly performances on the lawn in front of Town Hall.

All concerts in the series are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m., with the rain date for each concert scheduled for the following Thursday. The opening act on July 12 is a two-for-one offer as Barbara Harris, the original lead singer of 1960s girls group "The Toys" performs. Their top hit was "A Lover's Concerto".  She will be joined in her performance by Bob Marino.

Harris and Marino’s performance will be followed up on July 26, when Tree-Oh takes the stage. And as the calendar flips to August, the music continues. On August 9, FG7 stops by to perform. FG7 performed at last year’s concert series.
