UNION, NJ – The Township of Union’s “Summer Concert Series” begins Thursday, July 7, and continues every Thursday night in July. Concerts are held at Rabkin Park, Swanstrom Place, and begin at 7:30 p.m.
July 7: The Smooth Band and Orchestra
A complete Motown Revue, the band takes listeners through a fascinating recreation of the sounds of the Temptations, the Four Tops & many more with high energy, great harmony and fantastic dance steps.
July 14: Park Ave.
Park Ave. will entertain with the hit tunes of the golden oldies era; Doo Wop music at its best.
July 21: Beginnings
The ultimate tribute to the group "Chicago". The horn section electrifies and the vocals sound like an authentic Chicago concert as they play all their hits including "Only the Beginnings" & "Make Me Smile."
July 28: AM Gold Yacht Rock Party
This dynamic contemporary band will perform the hit tunes from the 1975 to 1990 -- Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers and many more.
In case of rain, concerts will be held at Hannah Caldwell School, 1120 Commerce Avenue.
