UNION, NJ – In the spirit of giving during this holiday season, students from Holy Spirit Catholic School recently held a food drive, “Thanks for Giving," to benefit St. Joseph’s Social Service Center.

“We received such an abundance of food donations from grades Pre-k through 8th grade,” said food drive organizer and Holy Spirit teacher Patty Cymbaluk.  “Sister Jacinta Fernandes and the volunteers at St. Joseph's Social Service Center were very grateful.”

According to the St. Joseph’s Social Service Center’s Facebook page, they were able to provide Thanksgiving food for over 750 families, “It is good to know Holy Spirit School was a part of that,” said Cymbaluk.  “As St. Francis of Assisi said, ‘it is in giving that we receive’”.
