UNION, NJ – About 450 people, young and old, came together Friday night under the stars to watch “The Jungle Book” at Rabkin Park.

Pre-movie entertainment included face painting and live animal presentations from the Turtle Back Zoo.  Families gathered with chairs and blankets and settled in to watch the movie under a clear, warm evening.

“The turnout and event were a tremendous success,” said DJ Salvante, Superintendent of Recreation.  “It was a terrific opportunity for residents to see all the Recreation Department has to offer.   “From the face painting to the visit from the Turtle Back Zoo to a terrific night under the stars, we’re so proud to provide safe, family fun.”
