UNION, NJ - Here's just a few things that happened in Union's schools this week:

Connecticut Farms 2nd Annual Week of Respect Door Decorating Contest.

Classes worked together to decorate their door to illustrate the theme, "kindness matters." Doors were judged on three criteria - creativity, student participation, and use of theme. The winning classes will be receiving an ice cream party courtesy of the PTA!

Washington School Student Council members gave their speeches to the entire 3rd and 4th-grade student body.

Students then voted for class president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The 2019-2020 class officers are President: Kelly Cross; Vice President: Olivia Baptista; Secretary: Justin Ferraz;Treasurer: Aiden Ahern. Congratulations to all the winners!

Jefferson School "Pledges to be Violence-Free" and resolve conflict peacefully as a culminating activity to NJ School Violence Awareness Week.

Franklin School's Annual Trick-a-Trunk was a success.

The rain didn’t stop the fun! Thank you to all the parents who supported the Trick-a-Trunk. You guys rock!!

The Varsity Girls Soccer team has proven over and over again the love they all have for the game! They lost this week in their State game 1-0 to Westfield but the AMAZING heart they had and the effort were outstanding! These girls controlled the ball for more than 80% of the game and outplayed Westfield! #WEAREPROUDOFU and wish the seniors all the best!

Tonight is the Varsity Football game.

It is Senior Night and the Pink out! Come out and support the Cheerleaders, Twirlers, Marching Band and Football teams’ Seniors.

Halloween turned out to be a great day across our district and the staff really showed up this year!
