UNION, NJ – The Union High School Performing Arts Company will be performing their student-directed advanced theatre show, Avenue Q, on June 16 and 17.

The Tony Award-winning, coming-of-age musical written by Jeff Whitty and conceived by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, is told through puppetry, music, darker yet relatable humor and satire.

While the show addresses some adult themes, Avenue Q is a favorite for theatre consumers everywhere, mature audiences and young adults alike will find the similarities between it and the classics they grew up enjoying.
The story of Avenue Q trails the adventures, misfortunes and learning experiences of Princeton, a recent college graduate looking for a place to live and begin his journey to a purpose in life. While living on Avenue Q, he meets eccentric characters in whom he finds friends, lessons, love.

Both shows are at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased for $10 at the door or online here.
