UNION, NJ – A robocall to Union High School parents Monday evening, informing them that students must enter only through the main entrance of the school on Tuesday, caused conjecture and concern.

No reason for the change in process was provided on the call, but Union police say a threat was initiated by a high school senior.  The type of threat was not identified.

According to Union Police Director Dan Zieser, the student who initiated the threat was identified Monday night.  Zieser said the senior was interviewed, along with his parents.  He was then transported to Trinitas Hospital for observation.

Zieser said no weapons were involved.  He said the investigation continues with the assistance of Superintendent Gregory Tatum and the Union High School security team.
