“I want to thank the entire Fire Department who are here tonight to support their colleagues and I thank them for their service,” said Cavadas.  “You guys put your lives on the line every day for our residents. Thank you so much.”

Union Mayor Suzettee Cavadas took a moment to recognize Kenilworth Mayor Anthony DeLuca, who was present to support Capt. Donald Vitale, a long time friend.

“These promotions will take effect on July 1,” said Fire Chief Michael Scanio.  “They will be filling vacancies created by retirements. The Township Administrators and the Township Committee continue to put public safety at the forefront. These leadership roles will be filled without any lapse, so Union’s Fire Department can continue to provide the best service to our taxpayers.”
