UNION, NJ – There’s only 24 days until Election Day.  The Presidential campaigns have stirred a lot of debate and discussion.  Locally, the Township of Union has seats open on the Township Committee and the Board of Education.  Residents are invited to two upcoming debates, sponsored by the League of Women Voters, in the coming weeks to hear directly from the candidates:

The Township of Union Township Committee Candidate’s debate will occur on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7:15 p.m. at the Township of Union Municipal Building.  The debate moderator will be Dawn Clarke.  There are four candidates vying for two, 3-year terms:

The Board of Education candidate’s debate will take place on Monday, Oct. 24, at 8:00 p.m. in the library at Union High School.  The debate moderator will be Michelle Bobrow.  There are six candidates vying for three, 3-year terms:

Paul Casey
