UNION, NJ – Parents of elementary school students attended a recent Parent Resource Night at Connecticut Farms School organized by Jennifer Parkhurst, School Counselor.

Over twenty local agencies and organizations attended this event.  Participating counseling and mental health agencies included Children’s Specialized Hospital, Family Support Organization, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Cooperative Counseling.  These organizations provided parents with information on the services and programs they offer for children.

“We were excited to host a variety of social and recreational organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, the Union Public Library, Trailside Science and Nature Center, and Harmony Dance School,” said Parkhurst.  “I hope to make this an annual event to continue to provide valuable resources and information to parents in our district. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this event a great success. Parents, we hope to see you at this event next year.”
