ROSELLE, NJ - Two separate attempts were made at luring/kidnapping of two Roselle girls both on Wednesday morning Sept. 21. The first incident occurred around 8a.m. in in the 100 block of West 7th. Ave. when police say that a 12-year-old female was walking to school when she observed a silver SUV/crossover vehicle parked and occupied by an unknown man. The man stated to the youth that he had something for her and held up a jacket. When the girl approached the vehicle, the man dropped the jacket and grabbed her by the arm. She was able to pull away from the man and run for help.
Police said, in that incident they are looking for a White Male in his 30’s, thin build, round face with a light mustache, a uni-brow and cleft chin. Police also stated that the man had a tattoo on his right tricep that was dark colored/faded and was in a shape of a flower.
The vehicle used in the incident is a silver SUV/crossover with rear tinted windows, gray leather steering wheel, gray seats with white outline, missing hubcaps or black rims. Police say it could possibly be a 2010 Nissan Rogue.
The second attempt occurred at 8:51a.m. on the 200 Block of East 8th Ave. Police said a man tried to lure a 15 year old girl on her way to school. The man in this attempt was described as a hispanic man approximately 40 to 50 years old. Police said, they are looking for a dark green Acura in this incident.
Police said that no weapons were used in either incident.
