SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Union Catholic continued its strong connection with alumni when the school hosted meet ups via Zoom with recent graduates and members of the Class of 2020 on Monday.
Over 30 UC alumni participated in a series of different sessions that were broken down by colleges and majors to give current UC seniors the opportunity to hear specifics about what they could expect when they become college students. Other topics included the transition to college, and the importance of time management.
Mr. Mike Conte, a school counselor at Union Catholic, served as a moderator along with the rest of the school counseling department and other UC faculty members.
“I am so appreciative of the valuable time and insights our alumni were able to offer our seniors today,’’ said Mr. Conte. “They were generous with their experiences and I know our senior students got a lot out of the panels today.’’
Mrs. Jennifer Dixon, UC’s Director of School Counseling, is hopeful that Union Catholic can host a panel with alumni and members of UC’s Class of 2021 next month.
