UNION, NJ – A theme of love, romance and fun is the focus of candle making experience in a social atmosphere, hosted by Union’s Special Improvement District (SID).
If you’re looking for the perfect date night or afternoon with your girlfriends for Valentine's Day join the SID for a fun, candle making workshop on Saturday, February 15. Participants will be able to mix their own custom, aromatherapy scent and pour their own 100% organic coconut wax candle.
“We work to enhance your experience in Union Center with fun interactive activities that encourage residents to revisit recommit and reinvest in our local economy this Valentine’s weekend,” said Director of Economic Development & Special Improvement District, Fatimah S. Raymond. “the Center is a culinary hot spot if you decided to spend your day with us.”
The event will take place at El Chingon Tex-Mex Restaurant, 1996-1998 Morris Avenue, from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. where Union Center merchant ReWax and UnWine will take patrons through the step-by-step candle making process.
“ReWax and UnWine is a vibe that combines a unique candle making experience,” stated wwner and scentologist Ashley Shillingford. “You and your loved ones will create your very own signature scents at an affordable cost while having a fun and unforgettable time.”
Participants will have the opportunity to select their own fragrance from over 20 curated selection of premium fragrance oils such as champagne, eucalyptus, fresh cut roses, honey, mojito, plumeria, smoked cognac and others. ReWax & UnWine will share simple and easy to follow instructions leading you in the process of creating one 9oz scented organic coconut candles.
The $15 per person ticket price (package valued at $36) includes all candle making supplies, instruction on the candle making process, and finished candle in a jar. The candles take about 45 minutes to set, during which time participants can enjoy light appetizers and a signature El Chingon Valentine’s Day drink while playing a round of candle trivia. The event is for adults 21 years and older.
