The recipient of the “Fireman of the Year” award for the Union Fire Department is Firefighter Vincent Amato.  Amato is being recognized for “his outstanding dedication to the department, especially with his dedication to the vitally important radio/communications system.”

“Both Battalion Chief Scanio and Firefighter Amato love what they do and they do it exceptionally well,” said Township of Union Fire Chief Tom Byrne.  “These men are dedicated to giving their very best in service to our fire department and our community.  These honors that they will be receiving are well deserved.”

Both events are open to the public.
