UNION, NJ - Two Union High School graduates competed for Team Nigeria in the IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas last weekend.

Both Ugonna Ndu, class of 2009, and Jennifer Edobi, class of 2014, ran in Team Nigeria’s 4 x 400.  The team won their heat on Saturday night and qualified for the final on Sunday night, where they finished fifth, and qualified for the World Championships this summer in London.

This is not the first time these two athletes have made team Nigeria. Ndu ran on the 2014 World Championship team in the 400 hurdles, and was the 2014 Nigerian National Champion in both hurdle races.
