UNION, NJ - Annabella Opoku, a 2016 Union High School graduate, who enrolled at Rider University this past fall, has since earned several scholarships.

Most recently, Opoku was accepted to Rider University’s Leadership Development Program which is recognized nationally as one of the top certificate programs with an emphasis on leadership. The goal of the program is to provide innovative leaders and confident professionals to help the common good.

Students will be required to complete additional course work and a 200 hour practicum in order to earn a certificate and have the distinction on their transcripts upon graduation.  

“I am prepared to meet the challenges awaiting me,” said Opoku.  “I appreciated my years at UHS.  I feel like it helped prepare me for college.”
