SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - In boy's baseball, Sam Schetelich went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs to lead Scotch Plains-Fanwood, No. 19 in the state Top 20, to a 7-4 win over Union. Matt Fox singled, drove in a run, and scored two runs for Scotch Plains-Fanwood. Danny Wilkinson pitched four scoreless innings in which he gave up one hit, struck out six, and walked one to pick up the win.

Girl's softball saw Lauren Buchanan with a two-run triple and Arielle Roman added two hits with an RBI and three runs scored to lead Union to a 7-5 victory over neighbor Dayton in Union. Sydney Santiago had three singles, Elizabeth Arias added two triples, and Alyssa Thomas pitched a nine-hitter with five earned runs, four walks, and eight strikeouts to earn the win for Union. Angelina Cacioppo had four singles with an RBI, Holly Wilson and Maggie Phillips each had two hits with two runs scored apiece, and Marinna Kwinta posted two singles for Dayton.
