I love the team aspect of it.  Most of my closest friends come from wrestling, and I perform better when I have to do it for a team.

Who is your favorite athlete and why?

Man, if I had to pick one athlete it would be Mobamba.  He’s a hometown hero and he really puts everything he has – energy,,charisma - drive to everything he does.

What are the most important attributes of being a leader?

Not being selfish, making sure your team’s better without making them feel like they’re lower.

What is your greatest high school accomplishment so far?

My greatest accomplishment would have to be upping my GPA.  I slacked like crazy freshmen year and I was somehow able to boost it up to a 3.3 . Sports-wise, it was placing second in the district.  I remember junior year I had my tooth ripped out in the counties and I remember saying there is no way I can amount this career to anything since I missed my most important season.  I came back the next season and became captain, got 15+ wins and was able to place in the districts.

Do you play any other sports? What’s your favorite?

I dabbled in other sports such as track and football, but nothing ever touched the feeling and passion wrestling did.

What’s your favorite subject? Why?

I probably would choose English.  It’s the class the allows me to be the most creative.

If you could spend the day with anyone in the world alive or dead, who would it be?

I would spend it with Elon Musk, he’s just overall a huge inspiration.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to do computer engineering with business.  I want to start up a huge business, it's going to be great.

What was the most difficult thing for you to overcome as a student-athlete?

Don’t get me started cutting weight, while leaving practice at 7, while having a test tomorrow for pre-calc and human anatomy, while having a match on the same day every other week was crucial.  The payoff feels so good though

What would your words of wisdom be to future UHS athletes?

Work in the offseason, it helps so much. Stay focused and set goals for yourself.  Don’t ever doubt yourself.

Who inspires you?

Some of the biggest would have to be my other athlete friends.  Kai, Jon, Tyrone, Jose, Bobby, Marion all inspired to do the best throughout the whole season. I love those guys.

What are your plans after high school?

After high school it’s straight back to work. I want to start my business by the end of 2019!
