CRANBURY, NJ – Cranbury Township police are investigating a crash on Route 130 Monday night that injured at least one of the drivers and that involved a driver from Union.
According to police, the crash took place at 9:13 p.m. on the northbound shoulder of Route 130 at Dey Road.
Police said that a 2008 Hyundai Accent, driven by Colleen Monahan, 46, of Monroe Township, struck the back of a 2007 Honda Ridgeliner SUV, driven by John C. Simpson, 28, of Union, while it was parked on the shoulder by Dey Road.
The impact caused Monahan’s car to overturn and she suffered lacerations on her arm as she exited the vehicle, police said.
The Cranbury First Aid Squad treated her at the scene and then took her to Princeton University Medical Center at Plainsboro for further treatment, police said.
Police could not say if Simpson was injured in the crash or if he was transported to the hospital.
George’s Garage & Towing towed both vehicles from the scene, police said.
