UNION, NJ – Union Police are reminding residents to lock their car doors.

“Don’t make yourself an easy target,” read a Facebook post from Union Police.  “We have rarely seen thieves actually force entry into vehicles.  They will seek out the cars that are unlocked.  Easy targets.”

Police say it takes “a second to lock your door” and you’ll save “yourself a huge headache.”  Police advise residents to contact Police headquarters at 908-851-5000 if they see anyone prowling the parking lots or residential side streets.
