UNION, NJ - The Township of Union is hosting their annual spooky and festive Halloween contests for children, families and businesses to display their ghostly and ghoulish creations.

Window Halloween Painting Contest:

Open to children in grades 5-12.  Registration opens Sept. 23

Township businesses can also register and paint their own window.  Supplies are available beginning Oct. 7.  Designs must be complete by Oct. 19.  Winners awarded in the following age groups:  5th grade, 6th-8th grade, 9th-12 grade, business.

Halloween Scarecrow Contest

Open to families and township businesses.  Registration opens Sept. 23

Forms and hay will be available beginning Oct. 7.  Scarecrows must be finished and returned to the Recreation Department by Oct. 16.  Scarecrows will be displayed in Union Center.  First, second and third place winners will be announced at the Oct. 31 SID event.

Families who participate in the contests will receive a Halloween goody bag with candy and gift certificates to a local business.
